Lumera Hydra Glow Vitamin C Serum Review: Six Weeks In

Vitamin C serums promise brighter, more even skin, but many are sticky, smell odd or irritate. We tested this one daily for six weeks to see how it holds up in a normal morning routine.

The short version

Lumera Hydra Glow Vitamin C Serum, 30 ml

Lumera

Hydra Glow Vitamin C Serum, 30 ml

A lightweight daily serum with 10% vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. It absorbs quickly and layers well under sunscreen.

Pros

  • Absorbs in under a minute
  • No sticky finish
  • Fragrance-free

Cons

  • Small bottle for the price
  • Dropper can be messy

How it feels

The texture is thin and watery, closer to an essence than a traditional serum. Three drops cover the face and neck, and it is dry to the touch within a minute, which makes it easy to follow with moisturiser and sunscreen.

What we noticed

  • Week 1–2: no irritation, skin felt slightly more hydrated.
  • Week 3–4: makeup sat more smoothly over it.
  • Week 5–6: overall tone looked a little more even in photos.

Who it suits

It is a good first vitamin C product for normal or combination skin. If your skin is very sensitive, patch-test first. If you want fast, dramatic results, this is a gentle formula and may feel slow.

Pair it with

Lumera Gentle Foaming Cleanser, 200 ml

Lumera

Gentle Foaming Cleanser, 200 ml

A mild gel-to-foam cleanser that removes sunscreen and light makeup without leaving skin feeling tight.

Pros

  • Does not dry out skin
  • A little goes a long way
  • Travel-friendly tube

Cons

  • Struggles with waterproof mascara
